Hey! So Glad You're Here.

Welcome to NobleWiseMen! My name is Kevin Leon, and I'm just an ordinary guy whose world was turned upside down by Someone truly extraordinary.

NobleWiseMen is a Christian blog created to help young men in their pursuit of truth, virtue, values, morals, mindsets and perspectives. As a Christian, I want to share the Word of God and help others develop a relationship with Jesus Christ so they can receive the same gift of salvation that God so graciously gave to me, and freely offers to all those who believe in Him.

I believe that life is a journey and that it’s never too late to start changing our thoughts and behaviors for the better - no one is too far gone. Through this blog, I hope to be able to relate to you and provide you with the encouragement and motivation to continue pressing forward in your own journey.

So if you’re looking for a blog to give you some insight and direction, this is the place for you.

My Story

I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord & Savior on December 17, 2017, and it is by far the best decision I've ever made. However, my life before Jesus was very different. I did not grow up in church, though I do have one really vague memory of falling asleep on a church pew as a kid.

Both of my parents are Cuban immigrants and I’m the youngest of three brothers. Unlike the older two, I was never baptized as a baby. I never had any relationship with God (or so I thought) and by the time I was a freshman in high school, I was a self-proclaimed atheist. I would often find any and every opportunity to bash God & tell whoever would listen why it made no sense to believe in Him and all those ‘fairytales.’

We know from 2 Corinthians 4:4 that the minds of unbelievers are blinded so that they are unable to see the light of the Gospel. It took a lot to free me from that blindness, namely attending a private Catholic University, which exposed me to reading the Bible for the first time. I also met a girl who would drag me to church every so often. Through a combination of learning God’s word (fighting for and against it at times in class), actually seeking Him for myself, a LOT of prayers lifted up by others, & a shattered heart, I received Christ.

Psalm 34:18 says ‘The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.’ In life, we all go through highs and lows, but whether we know it or not, God is with us through it all. God helped me through all of my pain; He made me stand tall, He restored my confidence, He transformed my heart & my mind, and now I’ve developed a relationship with Him that only grows with time.

After gaining spiritual clarity, I've been able to reflect on the moments when God was with me since my childhood. Like when the church leader refused to baptize me as a baby, explaining to my parents that it was a decision I had to make when I was older and understood its significance. I recall a conversation with my third-grade best friend, Emmanuel, when he asked if I was Christian or Catholic, and I replied,

'I think my family is Catholic but we never go to church and I like the way Christian sounds better.' Or when I took up boxing in my freshman year of high school at a Christian gym that would have us pray before and after every workout and match.

I’ll never forget when I reached my breaking point and I didn't tell a single soul what I was going through. However, during the Sunday service before Christmas, when the preacher delivered the sermon, it felt like word for word

God was speaking directly to me and my situation. God provides us with opportunities to come to Him, but the decision to pursue Him is ultimately ours to make.

After graduating from University with a Bachelor's in Finance and a Master’s in Communications, I ended up in car sales. The job really suited my personality, and I excelled there while working with some really amazing people. After about a year, a position for Finance manager opened up; I began my career in sales wanting to get into that position. I applied but (understandably) was told that I was not qualified as people typically work in sales for at least 5+ years before getting that opportunity.

However, I asked my GM if he would allow me to unofficially come in on my day off to learn the position on my own time, and he agreed. He constantly reminded me not to get my hopes up, and that I would most likely not get the job this hiring cycle. He also said that I was wasting my days off because corporate would never agree to my sudden promotion. Despite that, after about 4-5 months of training and lots of prayer, I got the job. I don't share this to boast about myself, but rather to highlight the power of prayer.

On the spiritual side of things - while this was all going on, I was seeking the Lord. I was learning more about Him, attending my church faithfully, tithing; doing the things I was supposed to be doing, and trying my best to avoid the things I shouldn't have been doing.

It’s important to remember that our journey with the Lord is a marathon, not a sprint. As I continued to set my mind on Him, seek His will over my life, & submit to His plans for me, things began to change. I was baptized on October 5th, 2018, and about a year later my Pastor asked me to become a Deacon & serve in God’s house as an usher. My church has always been relatively small, so a lot of the members are leaders, but this was, and still is, a great honor.

To God’s glory, I began to teach our men's group, dubbed 'Wise Men’s Bible Study,' lead men’s prayer services, and eventually teach Bible studies to our entire congregation. I also had the privilege to preach God’s word during our Friday night services & even on a few Sundays. Ever since coming to Christ, I’ve wanted to preach the Gospel so that others can experience the same life-transforming salvation that Christ offers, & that I’ve received.

From that realization, my goal has been to earn enough money in my secular job that I’d be able to invest, become financially free & embark on that journey of preaching & serving God full-time.

Every job I’ve held since then has just been a means to that end.

I quit my job in March of 2023 to pursue my own business & in the midst of that, I felt it in my heart to stop procrastinating & begin this Ministry sooner, rather than later.

Looking Up To God.jpeg

I am stepping out in faith, confident that God - as He always does - will show up and show out.

With my trust placed in Him, I know this will reach its intended audience & my hope is that it will glorify God & be a blessing to all who read, listen to, or watch my content.

Thank you for your support and may God bless you and all of your loved ones!

Amen.

Our
Beliefs

Get to Know Us

We believe the Bible is God's Word. The Scriptures are God's revelation of Himself to mankind. Therefore, they are accurate, infallible (never wrong), divinely authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives in the way of our faith, belief & manner of living.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is Love and completely Holy. The Lord Jesus Christ is both God and man and is the only one who can reconcile us to God.

We believe sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. In order to receive forgiveness we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives.

God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and powerful lives in order to help others more effectively. In order to live the holy, fruitful, and power-filled lives God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water, set our mind on Him and His purpose, and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised and will rule and reign on this earth. History will conclude as the wicked are judged and the righteous enter a new heaven and a new earth.
